GETTING YOUR TIME UNDER CONTROL
I used to call this a ‘Default Diary’ but in reality it can be much simpler than planning every day to the minute. Set up regular meetings for anything you need to keep track of in the business. A monthly financial meeting, for example, or a weekly toolbox.
Then, more importantly, set up regular meetings with yourself. Giving everything important a time of focus will stop extra tasks peppering your whole week and will also mean you can’t be blindsided. Keeping similar tasks in clusters will save you heaps of time wasted in chopping and changing or dealing with emails and phone calls.
